Job summary

ExxonMobil seeks a highly skilled Construction Engineer with 5-15 years of experience to join the Global Projects team in Carlsbad, New Mexico. You will serve as the main site contact across engineering, procurement, quality, and systems completion, coordinating multi-discipline work scopes on a field-driven basis.

The role emphasizes safety leadership, collaboration with craft personnel, and driving improvements in planning, execution, and interfaces with contractors.

Responsibilities

• Developing into a 'Champion' of safety performance through active engagement with the safety program and the craft.
• Support the integration of Contractor/subcontractor's workface planning with engineering, quality, procurement, and systems completion activities.
• Provide surveillance for conformance with the contract in execution of the work scope
• Assist with driving site construction / fabrication safety, quality, cost, and schedule performance in assigned areas/scope.
• Perform / support / lead (as requested) discrete tasks to improve construction management systems and safety, planning, and execution tools. Perform detailed analyses on construction execution data and metrics.
• Actively participate in removing constraints that would hinder Contractor's organization, planning, execution, and controls, and support improvement plans to close gaps in performance.
• Assist with facilitation of interfaces (design, other construction / fabrication sites, commissioning / startup, operations, third parties, etc.)
• Role is a field-based role - individual will be driving or riding along with more experienced construction staff to various work sites for field-level engagements with craft worker
