Job summary

COLSA Corporation seeks a UAS Training Specialist/Operator at our Madison, Alabama facility. You will serve as a subject-matter expert for developing and delivering training materials for UAS platforms, with hands-on operator experience to assist trainees in real-world scenarios.

The role requires delivering classroom and field training, maintaining curriculum, and performing system calibrations and flight tests. Occasional travel to client sites is expected, and a U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (military experience acceptable)
• Minimum of 8 years related experience
• Proficient with desktop applications (word processing, spreadsheet, databases)
• Willing to travel to client sites CONUS/OCONUS (<25%)
• Experience as multi-rotor UAS Operator or Trainer
• Military-style writing and operational planning experience
• U.S. Citizenship; ability to obtain security clearance if required

Responsibilities

• Deliver classroom and field training on commercial UAS platforms
• Develop, update, and maintain training curriculum and exercises
• Perform system calibrations, programming, and flight tests
• Install, configure, and integrate parts, sensors, payloads on UAS
• Perform upgrades and preventative maintenance on airframes and avionics
• Lead demonstrations and hands-on instruction for varying skill levels
• Evaluate trainee performance and provide feedback
• Lead mission planning activities during training events
• Provide on-site technical guidance during training
• Maintain training records and reports
• May deploy to customer locations to deliver training
