Job summary

Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking a Civil QC Engineer to provide hands-on field inspection and quality oversight of civil construction activities at Savannah River Site. The role ensures work meets drawings, specs, procedures, quality requirements, and codes.

The engineer will review testing results, maintain quality records, document nonconformances, and coordinate with project teams to resolve field quality issues, in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of Civil QC, construction inspection, materials testing, or related civil construction quality experience.
• Able to read and interpret civil drawings, specs, inspection plans, procedures, and acceptance criteria.
• Experience documenting inspections and maintaining quality records.

Responsibilities

• Perform field QC inspections of earthwork, grading, excavation, backfill, compaction, concrete, drainage, and site infrastructure.
• Verify construction activities comply with drawings, specs, procedures, and acceptance criteria.
• Monitor soil placement, moisture conditioning, lift thickness, compaction, and density testing.
