Job summary

CME Associates, Inc. in Buffalo, NY is seeking a detail-oriented Civil Field Engineer to lead on-site investigations, perform specialized inspections, and oversee material testing on project sites.

You will manage projects from kickoff to delivery, perform geotechnical tests, and prepare accurate reports that meet industry standards while collaborating with Senior Professional Engineers to ensure compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or closely related discipline.
• Engineer-in-Training (E.I.T.) certification required.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) for documentation and reporting.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills; able to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct specialized inspections and field evaluations (soil, concrete, masonry, steel).
• Perform geotechnical investigations with lab-supported analyses and calculations.
• Collaborate with Senior Professional Engineers on field and technical tasks.
• Prepare detailed engineering studies and reports meeting standards and codes.
• Coordinate projects related to Special Inspections and Construction Materials Testing.
• Implement QA protocols and maintain adherence to standards in field and lab work.
• Pursue ongoing professional growth and maintain current certifications.
