Job summary

Thompson Engineering is seeking qualified CEI Inspectors to support construction projects throughout the Alabama area. This role is responsible for inspecting construction activities and documenting project progress to ensure compliance with approved plans, specifications, and applicable standards.

You will work closely with contractors, the Senior Inspector, and the Project Manager to support successful project delivery.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Intermediate math and geometry skills (e.g., calculating area and volume).
• Willingness to travel as needed to support projects.

Responsibilities

• Inspect construction work to verify conformance with plans, specifications and standards.
• Prepare and maintain accurate daily inspection reports including labor, equipment, work performed, and communications with contractors.
• Conduct material inspections and testing for incorporation into the project.
• Some travel to project sites will be required to support projects as needed.
