Job summary

Fabcon is seeking a Field Caulker on the East Coast to join our permanent full-time team. You will perform caulking and general construction labor to seal precast concrete panels as part of a caulk crew, following the foreperson's directions and safety policies.

This role requires extensive travel and overtime as needed. We offer union benefits, safety boot and prescription safety eyewear reimbursement, employee referral bonuses, and overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• Construction experience required; caulking experience preferred.
• Ability to travel extensively (including overnight) and work overtime as needed.
• Able to work outdoors year-round and in all weather conditions.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.

Responsibilities

• Perform caulking and general construction labor to seal precast concrete panels.
• Complete assigned tasks safely and efficiently as part of a caulk crew.
• Follow directions from the Caulk Crew Foreperson and maintain safety policies.
• Use materials and tools efficiently and assist with additional field duties as needed.
• Maintain professional conduct and work well with crew and jobsite personnel.

Field Caulker – East Coast

Permanent/Full Time, Shift: 7:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday–Friday

To provide caulking and general construction labor tasks, in an efficient and safe manner, as part of a crew caulking precast concrete panels.

Salary Range

$39–$45/hour

Key Responsibilities

• Perform caulking and general construction labor necessary to seal precast concrete panels.
• Complete assigned tasks safely and efficiently as part of a caulk crew.
• Follow work direction provided by the Caulk Crew Foreperson.
• Perform additional construction and field duties as assigned by the foreperson.
• Use materials and supplies efficiently and handle tools and equipment responsibly.
• Follow all established safety policies, procedures, and jobsite requirements.
• Maintain professional conduct and work effectively with crew members and other jobsite personnel.

Requirements

• Construction experience required; caulking experience preferred.
• General knowledge of construction practices; two or more years of construction or manual labor experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to carry out simple and complex verbal instructions.
• Ability to safely work at heights, including from ladders and aerial work platforms.
• Ability to obtain membership in a local union.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
• Ability to travel extensively, including overnight travel 50% or more of the time, and work overtime as required.
• Ability to traverse uneven ground, move materials weighing at least 50 pounds, and climb onto flatbed semi-trailers.
• Spatial awareness and depth perception necessary to perform field duties safely.
• Ability to work outdoors year-round in all weather conditions and around dirt, dust, and noise from heavy machinery and vehicles.
• Ability to work well with others and maintain professional conduct.
