Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist in running cables for building or racking of equipment.
• Read drawings to establish correct wiring/cable runs.
• Install cabling from transport/wiring closets to customer access outlets.
• Install cabling under floor and above ceiling in trays and conduits.
• Field terminate cabling with multiple connector types.
• Field test cabling for performance specifications.
• Perform cable management in racks and termination shelves.
• Terminate copper connectors.
• Discuss pathways, bonding, grounding and firestopping.
• Choose appropriate tool or methodology for cabling tasks.
