Job summary

Philips seeks a Biomedical Equipment Technician to support the MVS business in the Valhalla, NY area. You will install, troubleshoot, service, and maintain equipment at customer sites while managing relationships with clients.

Requirements include 3+ years in medical service or 5+ years in electromechanical industries, an associate degree in electronics, and strong knowledge of electronic, mechanical, and networking systems. This is a field role with potential after-hours as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years in a medical service environment or 5+ years in other electromechanical industries.
• Experience with general biomedical equipment, patient monitoring, ventilators, defibrillators and/or infusion pumps preferred.
• Understanding of electronic, mechanical and networking theory for installation, diagnosis and repair.
• Associate degree in electronics or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Ability to work in a hospital/healthcare environment with flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Perform PMs, FCOs, installations and related tasks independently and diagnose issues.
• Diagnose and resolve electronic, network, and mechanical problems using manuals and tools.
• Provide exceptional customer service by managing expectations and priorities.
• Participate in onsite work team and identify opportunities to improve processes and training.
• Complete administrative duties, timesheets, service orders, FCOs and regulatory paperwork.
