Job summary

Landhawk Consulting LLC is seeking several Biologists/Environmental Scientists to join our environmental and cultural resources team in southern Texas. The successful candidates will assist in regulatory compliance, construction monitoring, and biological surveys within the Texas border region.

Positions may be full-time or part-time with hybrid and field-based assignments primarily in southern Texas and surrounding regions.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in biology, environmental science, or related fields.
Excellent writing skills.
High attention to detail.
Ability and willingness to travel periodically in Texas.
Ability to meet deadlines consistently.
Proficient in MS Office Suite.
Ability to work effectively with remote staff.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Must be able to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

Perform routine inspections and oversee construction to ensure compliance with environmental regulations
Monitor stormwater-related BMPs
Assist with vegetation surveys
Perform weekly migratory nesting bird surveys
Relocate wildlife when found
Produce daily and occasionally weekly reports from field inspections
Conduct biological surveys
