Job summary

Xpress Conveyors & Vulcanizing is seeking an experienced Lead Belt Technician to oversee conveyor belt installation, maintenance, repairs, and field service operations in Lexington, KY. You will lead crews on job sites, ensuring safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.

The role requires hands-on leadership, 2+ years belt technician experience, vulcanization skills, and ability to travel. You will train technicians, maintain equipment, and document work orders while upholding high safety

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of conveyor belt technician experience.
Experience with hot and cold vulcanization required.
Experience installing and servicing belt scraper systems required.
Kentucky Underground and surface Miner Card preferred.
Previous leadership or crew lead experience preferred.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Ability to lift 75+ pounds and work in physically demanding environments.
Willingness to travel and work overtime when project demands require.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise field crews performing conveyor belt installation, maintenance, and repairs.
Perform hot and cold vulcanization on conveyor belts.
Install, repair, and maintain conveyor belt scraper systems.
Diagnose belt and conveyor issues and provide solutions.
Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with company and customer standards.
Train and mentor technicians while promoting a strong safety culture.
Maintain tools, equipment, and accurate job documentation.
Travel to customer job sites throughout the region as needed.
