This field-based role requires performing land surveys, using GPS and Trimble equipment, and delivering precise data for planning, design, and construction across multiple sites in Minneapolis, MN.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years of surveying experience, familiarity with laser scanning, and the ability to travel frequently.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of land surveying experience.
• Experience using laser scanning technology.
• Proficiency with Trimble survey equipment and data collectors.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel frequently.
• Work outdoors in different weather and field conditions.
• Experience with surveying principles, procedures, and field practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform topographic, construction, boundary, and utility-related land surveys.
• Operate GPS survey equipment, laser scanners, and Trimble data collectors.
• Collect, process, and document survey data for engineering and construction projects.
• Travel to project sites and independently complete assigned survey tasks.
• Support electric distribution, gas, transmission, and substation projects across multiple locations.
• Ensure survey work meets company standards, project requirements, and safety regulations.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, designers, and survey team members.
• Maintain surveying equipment and ensure calibration and operation.
• Complete field documentation and provide accurate deliverables to project teams.
