Job summary

Johnson & Johnson is seeking an Associate Surgical Account Manager/Surgical Account Manager to grow the Impella portfolio across Upstate New York and surrounding markets. This field-based role collaborates with cardiology sales and clinical teams to deliver innovative heart‑recovery solutions.

The position requires deep cardiac surgery knowledge, a history of OR selling, and the ability to travel extensively to major conferences and clinical sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum 10+ years experience in cardiac surgery and/or cardiology medical device sales (Surgical Account Manager).
• Proven OR selling experience and leadership of teams to hit quotas.
• Knowledge of cardiac surgery anatomy and established relationships with Cardiac Surgeons.

Responsibilities

• Gain distribution and utilization of the Impella 5.5 (left sided treatment).
• Gain distribution and utilization of the Impella RP (right sided treatment).
• Manage EXCEL sites and clinicals on new Surgery, Heart Failure, ECMO technologies.
• Travel 50%-75% overnight to cover territory.
• Build surgical vertical in established Impella programs and staff major conferences.
