Job summary

R-2 Contractors is seeking a Site Safety Lead to implement and oversee safety protocols across active job sites nationwide. This full-time, field-based role requires travel with rotations home and involves conducting safety audits, trainings, and continuous Safet y compliance.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of safety experience in construction, current OSHA 30, and relevant certifications such as CSP/CHST. Excellent communication and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years' safety experience in construction or a similar field.
• Current OSHA 30 (Construction) and First Aid/CPR required.
• Relevant certification(s) such as CSP, CHST, or STSC strongly preferred.
• HAZWOPER, CESCL and SWPPP certification, strongly preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily site safety walks to identify hazards and ensure standards.
• Lead safety leadership walks with general contractors (GCs).
• Provide updates to site management and Safety Manager on findings and actions.
• Perform Pre-Task Plan audits and field evaluations to address safety deficiencies.
• Conduct site audits based on safety questionnaires.
• Provide training to craft employees on safety measures and policies.
• Ensure ongoing compliance with safety policies and procedures.
• Conduct safety orientations for new personnel.
• Manage and assist with accident and safety claims and follow-up.
• Lead incident review meetings with clients and GCs.
• Collaborate with field supervision to ensure safety across projects.
