Job summary

BSI invites applications for a Product Certification Auditor to perform product assessments across varied environments, ensuring conformity with BSI schemes and Kitemark standards.

The role involves leading audit teams, coordinating with clients, and planning travel to cover Ireland, Northern Ireland and the UK. A background in quality management with ISO 9001 exposure is preferred and Lead Auditor status is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years’ industry experience in product manufacturing with emphasis on quality management or product certification.
• Ideally qualified in engineering or manufacturing subject.
• Experience in product assessment or auditing against standards.
• Willingness to travel frequently.
• Knowledge of quality management system auditing practices (ISO 9001).
• Lead Auditor 9001 qualification would be a major advantage.

Responsibilities

• Prepare assessment reports and deliver findings to clients to ensure understanding and guidance for corrective action.
• Recommend issue, re-issue or withdrawal of certificates per policy and time frame.
• Maintain account responsibility and growth for nominated accounts with excellent service delivery.
• Lead assessment teams and ensure quality of service and teamwork with clients and internal staff.
• Provide accurate information to support services and ensure client records are up to date.
