Job summary

Project Renewal is seeking an Occupational Therapist to support the Drug User Health program. The OT will conduct assessments, design recovery-focused interventions, and deliver in-field and occasional office-based services to individuals with opioid-use histories and overdoses, assisting them to engage in meaningful daily activities.

The role requires NYS licensure (or temporary licensure) and a Masters/Doctorate in OT, with travel to PRI sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Master’s Degree or Doctoral Degree in Occupational Therapy and NYS licensure (or temporary licensure at hire).
• Experience in community-based behavioral health settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Outreach to clients across PRI and deliver clinical OT services for recovery-based engagement.
• Provide functional evaluations and needs assessments to inform treatment plans.
• Lead 1:1 OT sessions and therapeutic groups (e.g., overdose prevention).
• Assist clients to perform activities of daily living and navigate DUH and MAT resources.
• Collaborate with DUH team and Nurse Care Managers; supervise OT interns as needed.
