Coleman Company, Inc. seeks a Municipal Construction Inspector in Brunswick, GA to oversee municipal infrastructure projects from preconstruction through final inspection.

The role emphasizes field accuracy, clear documentation, and collaboration with engineers, project managers, and contractors to deliver safe, durable infrastructure for coastal Georgia. The ideal candidate has 3–5+ years in construction inspection, strong plan-reading skills, and proficiency with electronic reporting.

Qualificações

• Degree or higher in Construction Management, Civil Engineering Technology, or related field.
• 3–5+ years of progressive experience in construction inspection or related field.
• Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and contracts.
• Thorough knowledge of erosion control BMPs and field testing procedures.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with high accuracy in documentation.
• Comfortable using electronic reporting and data collection tools.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.
• NPDES Level 1B certification.

Responsabilidades

• Provide day-to-day oversight of municipal construction projects under supervision of a Professional Engineer.
• Read and interpret plans, specifications, and contracts to verify work conforms to documents.
• Represent the Owner at construction meetings and coordinate QA tests.
• Schedule and attend preconstruction meetings and perform final inspections and project closeout.
• Review shop drawings and submittals for conformity to documents.
• Prepare and submit inspection reports and project correspondence.
• Review contractor payment applications and verify quantities.
• Monitor construction progress relative to the project schedule.
• Coordinate preparation of record documents and maintain communication with the project team.
• Interact professionally with contractors, clients, and residents affected by construction.
