Job summary

ERM is seeking an experienced EHS Manager (Field Based) to provide on-site environmental, health, and safety leadership at a client facility in Lincoln, NE. The role is full-time, 40 hours/week, for 6 months with extension possible, requiring regular on-site presence.

Responsibilities include regulatory compliance, EHS program management, risk assessments, incident investigations, training delivery, and leadership engagement with management and operations teams.

Qualifications

• BS in Safety, Occupational Health, Engineering, or related science degree preferred.
• 7–10 years EHS experience in manufacturing or R&D environments preferred.
• CSP preferred.
• Experience with health and safety risk assessments and industrial hygiene monitoring.
• Working knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations including CAL OSHA.

Responsibilities

• Ensure OSHA, environmental, and company regulatory compliance.
• Manage EHS policies, permits, licenses and required documentation.
• Provide daily EHS support to production, maintenance, engineering, and operations teams.
• Conduct risk assessments, job hazard analyses, inspections, and hazard mitigation activities.
• Investigate incidents, injuries, near misses, and environmental events; implement corrective actions.
• Deliver EHS training to employees and contractors; lead toolbox talks and field coaching.
• Audit plant operations, monitor EHS metrics, and report to management; support continuous improvement.
