Job summary

Cennox in Charleston, SC seeks a Commercial Alarm System Inspector for a full-time, field-based role. You will test and survey electronic security systems at banking and commercial facilities within a ~100-mile radius, with full training provided.

No prior security experience is required; candidates with a solid technical foundation and good communication skills are encouraged to apply. This position reports to the Electronic Security division and offers growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Background in electrical, mechanical, low-voltage, IT, or a related trade.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and insured vehicle.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions.
• Preferred: experience in field service or inspection; comfort with tablets/Android for scheduling and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled inspections, tests, and surveys of electronic security systems at commercial and banking facilities.
• Complete related project work and service calls within the assigned territory.
• Maintain accurate records and communicate findings clearly to clients and internal teams.
• Represent Cennox professionally in client-facing environments.
