The Bergaila Companies are seeking an Automation Specialist II to commission, program, and support automation systems for oil and gas facilities in Kermit, TX. The role emphasizes hands-on field work, safety-conscious startup, and collaboration with multi-disciplined teams.

You will program and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, RTUs, and EFMs, update design documents, and provide technical training to field personnel on a rotating 14-on/14-off schedule with housing options available.

Formación

• 3+ years in oil & gas automation, instrumentation, or controls.
• Experience programming and troubleshooting PLCs, HMIs, RTUs, EFMs (Allen-Bradley, Totalflow, ROC).
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and ability to work independently in field conditions.

Responsabilidades

• Lead automation system commissioning for facilities per designs.
• Validate designs, equipment, and configurations during construction and startup.
• Program, test, and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, RTUs, EFMs.
• Perform loop checks and startup activities to bring facilities online safely.
• Update P&IDs, wiring diagrams, and control documentation.
• Enforce change management and safety review processes.
• Provide field technical support and training to personnel.
• Maintain as-built automation documentation.
