Job summary
Thermon is seeking an Automation Engineer in Field Services to design and commission heating and boiler control systems. You will travel to customer sites up to 80%, work directly with clients, and support commissioning and troubleshooting of automation solutions in challenging environments.
The role requires a strong background in electrical engineering, PLC programming (Siemens/Allen-Bradley), and proficiency with AutoCAD and MS Office. Domestic and international travel may be involved.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- 2 years' PLC programming experience (Siemens and Allen-Bradley).
- 3-5 years electrical engineering experience.
- Ability to read drawings (mechanical, electrical, instrumentation).
- Proficiency with MS Office and AutoCAD.
Responsibilities
- Design electrical control systems for product lines including boilers and related equipment.
- Assist Field Techs with commissioning at customer sites.
- Create schematic wiring diagrams using AutoCAD.
- Develop PLC logic for boilers and burners.
- Assist with troubleshooting on site and remotely as needed.
- Write operation and system descriptions for manuals.
