Origami is seeking a Field Auditor to provide general audit support to the Finance and Operations Department. You will assist the accounting team with drafting and filing financial audits, preparing budgets, and drafting financial statements while recommending internal auditing systems and procedures.

The role includes contributing to audit planning, performing basic fieldwork, monitoring work-in-progress, and communicating findings to management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in any four-year course; Accountancy or Business Management preferred.

Job description

The Field Auditor is primarily responsible for providing general audit and support to the Finance and Operations Department. He/She will assist the accounting team with the drafting and filing of financial audits. The role will be required to recommend and execute financial audits, prepare budgets, draft financial statements, and proposed internal auditing systems and procedures.

Responsibilities / Duties:

Assists in the conduct of an audit engagement under supervision and may be responsible for undertaking small non-complex audits which will involve pre-audit scoping and preparation, identifying audit risks and performing preliminary evaluation of client’s internal control structure to identify weaknesses and areas for management consideration and improvement.

Assists with audit planning procedures including audit tests using the firm’s audit methodology ensuring that key matters not identified at the planning stage are brought to the attention of the client management team and assists with assessment. Completes allocated tasks to a high standard which meet set reporting and auditing standards. Assists with preparation of the simpler financial statements, or reviews client-prepared financial statement and other management reports to develop understanding and increase knowledge of various entities and accounting issues. Monitors own WIP and ensures a positive contribution is made to departmental billing. Builds confidence in dealing with clients and knowledge of more in depth tasks, developing the ability to take on more complex engagements and builds relationships to ensure client retention and growth. Acts as an ambassador of the firm, building relationships and promoting the firm at every opportunity to facilitate new business opportunities.

Finance Functions
  • Ensures availability and safekeeping of all finance documents such as vouchers, passbooks, deposit slips etc
  • Sends on time and in full the scanned deposit or payment details to field personnel; issues IORs and deposits cash on-time and in-full.
  • Able to answer and assist co-workers’ inquiries on CA release, reimbursements processed, payments to suppliers and other expenses
  • Perform administrative tasks such as filing and keeping of financial documents & data entry in the system, documenting financial processes.
  • Handling communications with clients and vendors via phone, email, and in-person
  • Exercises budgetary control and supervision on materials and/or services which are categorized as overhead expenses.
  • Prepares progress reports of issues and concerns and regularly discusses and updates line managers.
  • Assist in inventory counts and other finance projects.
  • Analyze and approve reports for government requirements.
Management Support
  • Performs general office or clerical work such as filing of documents, encoding, GM errands or assist in projects’ requirements.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned by the direct superior from time to time.
Working Relationships:

Internal: Directly Reports to the Associate Finance Manager. Coordinates with Operations, HR and Admin Department, and
other Departments as internal customers.
External: Government Agencies, Client’s Representatives, and any other external entity involved in the performance of his/her duties and responsibilities.

Job Specifications:

Education: Must be a graduate of any four (4) year course. Preferably a graduate of Accountancy or Business Management
Experience: At least one (1) year work experience as a Finance Associate. Fresh Graduates can be considered.
Essential Skills / Knowledge / Abilities: Computer literate, Proficiency in MS Office applications; Has initiative, exhibits objectivity and good interpersonal relations; Customer-centric; Has good communication competency; willing to do field work; ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
