Job summary

Vision Government Solutions Inc. is seeking a Field Appraiser in Ohio to perform on-parcel field reviews and verify data for consistent property valuations.

You will assist in developing valuation parameters and modeling for each project, while maintaining professional, courteous interactions with taxpayers during informal hearings. This role offers on-site training, opportunities to advance within the company, and a collaborative work environment focused on delivering accurate mass appraisal

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.
• Willingness to learn with on‑the‑job training is required.
• Mass appraisal experience is a plus.
• Ohio Appraisal License or Trainee status is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Complete an on-parcel field review of property data to assure data quality and uniform treatment within neighborhoods.
• Assist the Project Manager in developing and implementing valuation parameters and modeling for each project.
• Interact professionally with taxpayers during informal hearings, completing forms and addressing discrepancies.
• Maintain positive relations with clients, the public, and company personnel.

Principal Responsibilities:

• Complete an on parcel field review of property data via available resources to assure the quality of existing data and the uniform treatment of properties within similar neighborhoods of the project.
• Assist the Project Manager in the development and implementation of valuation parameters and valuation modeling for each project as assigned.
• Interact professionally and tactfully with taxpayers during the informal hearing process, completing hearing forms and investigating discrepancies or inaccuracies reported by the taxpayer.
• Maintain positive relations with the clients, the general public and company personnel.

Position Requirements:

• High school Diploma
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Willingness to learn with on job training.
• Mass appraisal experience a plus.
• Ohio Appraisal License or Trainee a plus.
