Job summary

A global semiconductor company is offering an internship in their Technical Sales Team focusing on Industrial Applications. The ideal candidate will be pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering and be fluent in both Italian and English. Interns will work on challenging projects, solve technical problems, and gain hands-on experience in the Field Applications Engineer role. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this dynamic environment, fostering personal and professional development.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or related fields.
  • Fluent in Italian and English, both written and oral.
  • Basic knowledge of analog circuitry.
  • Knowledge of analog circuitry (op-amps, DC/DC power, data converters, sensing, etc.).
  • Basics of Microcontroller Programming.
  • French and/or Spanish language skills is a plus.
  • Programming skills in Python is a plus.
  • Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills with competitive mindset and a result-focused attitude.
  • Excellent communication & presentation skills and ability to work cross-functionally.

Responsibilities

  • Gain hands-on experience as a Field Applications Engineer.
  • Work on projects solving customer technical challenges.
  • Present findings to leaders, including customer case studies.

Job description

An internship in a Technical Sales Team focusing on Industrial Applications may be the role for you. With this Internship, you will combine your technical skills with selling and marketing skills to help our customers solve their most challenging problems, and to develop and deliver innovative solutions. Demonstrate your technical competency on product selection, systems, implementation and debug, as you prepare for a career as a Field Applications Engineer.

Gain hands‑on experience learning the Field Applications Engineer role and how we conduct business with our customers.

Learn how our Field Applications force engages with TI’s Business Units and System Teams.

Work on hands‑on challenging projects, solve customers’ technical challenges and have opportunities to present your findings to leaders, including customer case studies, running a project kick‑off and making a final intern presentation.

Qualifications
  • Pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering or related fields
  • Fluent in Italian and English, both written and oral communication skills

Basic understanding of schematics, layouts and digital components

  • Knowledge and understanding of analog circuitry (examples include: op-amps, DC/DC power, data converters, sensing, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Basics of Microcontroller Programming

French and/or Spanish language skills is a plus

Programming skills in Python is a plus

  • Demonstrated strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with competitive mindset and a result‑focus
  • Excellent communication & presentation skills alongside with ability to work in cross‑functional teams and building strong relationships internally as well as externally
  • Time management skills / ability to prioritize among tasks and ability to constantly adapt to a changing environment
  • Be passionate about solving technical challenges and enjoy having technical conversations with external and internal counterparts
