NVIDIA is seeking a Field Applications Engineer to support customers using the Jetson platform for embedded industrial use-cases. You will partner with Sales, support customer technical engagement, and work cross-functionally with internal teams and the partner ecosystem.

Ideal candidates have strong Linux/embedded software skills, C/C++, Python, and excellent communication. Base salary ranges vary by level and location, and equity/benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of work-related experience in embedded design or technical customer support in a high-tech electronics industry.
• Linux, embedded software and embedded application expertise.
• C, C++, and Python coding.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and oral communications skills with the ability to collaborate with management and engineering.
• Strong time-management and organization skills for coordinating multiple initiatives and complex projects.

Job description

We are looking for a highly motivated Field Applications Engineer to support our customers using NVIDIA's Jetson platform for embedded industrial use-cases! This role is for an individual who has shown leadership in supporting customers and is an experienced specialist in embedded systems, software, and application development. Your primary responsibility will be to partner with sales and support customer technical engagement, working cross functionally with our internal teams as well as our partner ecosystem. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a capacity to work independently are key success factors for this role.

What you'll be doing:

• Work with customers to develop a keen understanding of their system architectures, challenges, objectives, and technical needs - and help them define highly valued solutions that meet these needs
• Be the trusted advisor for our customers, help them with our Jetson SDK and edge AI inference software, supporting our sales partners and customers
• Work closely with the NVIDIA application and engineering teams to ensure customers are successful in developing their embedded systems, answer their questions directly, via email, and on the NVIDIA developer forum
• Work with customers to reproduce issues and help identify root causes
• Provide technical and sales training to ecosystem and channel partners
• Establish trusted relationships and communication channels with internal teams

What we need to see:

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent experience
• 2+ years of work-related experience in a high-tech electronics industry in an embedded design role or technical customer support role
• Linux, embedded SW and embedded application expertise
• C, C++, and Python coding
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong written and oral communications skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with management and engineering
• Strong time-management and organization skills for coordinating multiple initiatives, priorities, and implementations of new technology and products into very complex projects

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

• NVIDIA GPU development experience
• gStreamer, ROS, and/or OpenCV experience
• Deep Learning and/or AI experience
• Functional safety experience

Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. The base salary range is 108,000 USD - 178,250 USD for Level 2, and 132,000 USD - 207,000 USD for Level 3.

You will also be eligible for equity and benefits .
