Mycronic is seeking an Applications Engineer (Field Based) to join our customer-focused engineering team in Austin, TX. You will combine deep technical expertise with consultative problem-solving to deliver complex solutions at customer sites, with occasional travel.

In this role you will troubleshoot, maintain systems, and partner with customers to minimize downtime while driving successful deployments. Strong communication and adaptability are essential.

Qualifications

• Requires an associate's degree or equivalent with related field experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication for diverse audiences, including executives.
• Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex hardware/software challenges in field settings.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites as needed; valid passport and driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Provides advanced technical consultation and support to customers as a field expert for Mycronic products.
• Diagnoses complex system issues and implements preventative maintenance to maximize uptime.
• Performs on-site installations, system buyoffs, demonstrations, and new product setups.
• Translates customer feedback into actionable insights for product development and engineering teams.
