Job summary

Meso Scale Diagnostics LLC seeks a scientific consultant to provide comprehensive scientific consultation to support account management, assisting in evaluating new instrument opportunities and aiding customers with MSD kitted assays and assay development across disciplines.

The role involves educating customers on instrumentation and data analysis, training, field support, and collaboration with sales/marketing. Travel up to 30–50% to customer sites, including lab environments, is expected.

Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in Life Sciences required; higher degree with equivalent experience considered.
  • At least 3 years hands-on molecular biology/biochemistry experience in research/clinical settings.
  • Field applications or scientific support experience desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Educate and train customers on MSD instrumentation and data analysis.
  • Train customers on MSD assays and software; assist with troubleshooting.
  • Support customers developing their own MSD assays across multiple fields.
  • Attend scientific meetings and provide feedback and reports.
  • Collaborate with account managers to expand instrument and consumable sales.
  • Present internal peer training sessions to sales and management.
  • Create reports/presentations from assay development visits and new evaluations.
  • Document activities and customer interactions in CRM (SalesForce.com).
