Teradyne is seeking a Field Product Specialist (SOC) to connect customer challenges with Teradyne solutions. You’ll work with Sales, Marketing, Applications, and Engineering to shape proposals, influence product direction, and drive customer success.

The role is centered in California with travel to Asia. You’ll bring hands-on test experience in Mobile compute, RF, and Power Management, and you’ll collaborate with factory teams to deepen expertise and improve roadmaps.

Qualifications

• BS+ in Electrical Engineering or related field is required.
• 5–8+ years in SoC validation/test (e.g., test development, DFT, or test‑enablement tools).
• Experience with leading-edge SoC ATE (Teradyne and/or competitor).
• Customer-first mindset; able to build relationships across customer and internal teams.
• Ownership mindset; collaborate, prioritize, and drive closure.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Competitive benchmarking experience is a plus.
• Growth mindset and interest in customer‑facing work.

Reports To: Director of SOC Technical Business Development

Location: US (California)

The Field Product Specialist (FPS) connects customer challenges with Teradyne solutions to drive growth. You’ll partner with Sales, Marketing, Applications, and Engineering to shape proposals, influence product direction, and help customers succeed.

You’ll bring hands‑on test experience with emphasis on Mobile compute, RF and Power Management. You’ll support customers in California, and collaborate with factory engineering and marketing; targeted training is available for the right overall fit.

You’ll join a technical presales team that values collaboration and growth, with support to deepen expertise and build the customer‑facing skills that drive outcomes.

Travel/Location

Customer engagement is centered in San Jose or Irvine, CA. Travel is 1-2 weeks/quarter to Asia.

Compensation

The base salary range for this role is $170,500-$272,800. This range is a good faith estimate, and the actual salary will correspond with experience and skill set. This range may vary based on demand and location.

Incentive Plan: This job is eligible for discretionary bonus(es) based on financial performance.
