Job summary

Atlas Helios Inc. in North Phoenix, AZ seeks a Field Applications Engineer focused on hands-on operation and maintenance of environmental and water quality monitoring systems for high-purity applications in semiconductor manufacturing.

You will collaborate with our Taiwan-based teams, support daily operations at a customer site, and contribute to calibration, safety, and equipment reliability across the Arizona operation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, or related field; or an Associate degree with 3+ years of relevant technical experience.
  • 3–5 years of experience in a similar technical field such as Gas Analyzers or Mass Spectrometry.
  • Experience with Liquid Chromatography (LC) systems preferred.
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain online chemical analyzers and water quality instrumentation.
  • Prepare chemical reagents and standards according to procedures.
  • Assist in installation, calibration, and commissioning of sensors and monitoring systems.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs and instrument performance records.
  • Ensure safety compliance and coordinate with cross-border teams including Taiwan headquarters.

Job Summary

We are looking for a dedicated and technically skilled Field Service Technician to join our expanding team in Arizona. In this role, you will be responsible for the hands-on operation and maintenance of specialized environmental and water quality monitoring systems, focusing on high-purity online analyzers. You will play a vital role in ensuring our semiconductor clients maintain the highest standards of purity and safety in their facility management.

Key Responsibilities
  • System Operation & Maintenance: Perform daily operation, routine maintenance, and troubleshooting of online chemical analyzers and related water quality instrumentation.
  • Chemical Reagent Preparation: Strictly follow standardized procedures for the configuration, mixing, and handling of chemical reagents and standards required for analytical equipment.
  • Calibration & Commissioning: Assist in the installation, commissioning, and regular calibration of sensors and monitoring systems to ensure they function to precise specifications.
  • Technical Documentation: Maintain accurate logs of maintenance activities, instrument performance, and chemical usage.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all site-specific safety protocols and industry regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Customer Relationship & Cross-Border Coordination: Act as a key technical and service contact for our primary Arizona customer, supporting day-to-day communication, service continuity, issue follow-up, and long-term customer satisfaction. This role will also coordinate closely with our Taiwan-based parent company and technical teams, including regular reporting and communication with headquarters in Taiwan.
  • Work Schedule: Standard Monday–Friday schedule with occasional after-hours support during system commissioning and customer emergencies.
  • Work Location: This role is primarily assigned to a customer site in North Phoenix, Arizona, and requires regular on-site (Deer Valley Office) presence.
Training & Development

Comprehensive training will be provided to help the selected candidate build strong technical capabilities in high-purity monitoring systems and analytical instrumentation.

Training will include both local Arizona-based training and in-person training in Taiwan, where the candidate will have the opportunity to learn directly from experienced engineering and technical teams. This cross-border training structure is designed to provide practical field knowledge, product-specific expertise, and exposure to international engineering standards.

Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, or a related technical science field; or an Associate degree with 3+ years of relevant technical experience.
  • Experience:3–5 years of experience in a similar technical field (e.g., Gas Analyzers or Mass Spectrometry).
  • Specialized Skill: Experience with Liquid Chromatography (LC) systems is highly preferred.
  • Certification: A valid OSHA 10 or OSHA30 certification is preferred (or a willingness to obtain one upon hire, supported by the company).
  • Technical Knowledge: Basic understanding of the Semiconductor, Oil & Gas, or Petrochemical industries.
  • Language Skills: Language Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication in English; proficiency in Mandarin Chinese is highly preferred and considered a strong asset for cross-border collaboration.
  • Attributes: High energy, team player, and capable of working independently with good business judgment.
  • Physical Requirements: Without any additional accommodation, ability to safely lift and carry equipment weighing up to 40 pounds.Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout industrial manufacturing facilities for extended periods.Ability to safely access elevated platforms and ladders when required.
