Job summary

Hoover Energy Services LLC is seeking an Analytical Specialist to install, commission, calibrate, and troubleshoot analytical equipment for natural gas and hydrocarbon liquids. This hands-on role covers the complete analytical chain from sample conditioning to final measurement, with rotational on-call after-hours support.

You will work with gas chromatographs and process analyzers, support major manufacturers, read drawings, and document findings with operations and customer personnel.

Qualifications

• Oil and gas analytical, measurement, instrumentation, or automation experience required.
• Hands-on experience with gas chromatographs and/or process analyzers preferred.
• Ability to read electrical drawings, P&IDs, and technical documentation.
• Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to work in remote oilfield locations.

Responsibilities

• Install, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot gas chromatographs and process analyzers.
• Support equipment from major manufacturers and troubleshoot sample conditioning systems.
• Diagnose sample problems such as contamination, leaks, or temperature/pressure issues.
• Troubleshoot 4–20 mA, Modbus, Ethernet, and other industrial signals and communications.
• Read P&IDs, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer documentation, and document findings.
