Job summary

GROWMARK FS LLC in Preston, MD is seeking an Exploring Agriculture Agronomy Operations Intern to gain hands-on experience in field operations and equipment maintenance.

As an intern you will learn to operate field research and crop monitoring equipment, visit locations to build professional relationships, and learn about ordering, receiving, and inventory control, while meeting safety and CDL/license prerequisites.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing a degree or certification from a community college, technical college or university.
• Must be able to obtain CDL and commercial applicator license with required endorsements.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
• Ability to travel independently and overnight as needed.
• Willingness to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Operate field research and crop monitoring equipment and technology for scouting.
• Assist with facility and equipment maintenance and repair.
• Visit FS locations and customers building professional relationships.
• Gain understanding and experience with ordering, receiving, and inventory control.

Skills

CDL

Commercial applicator license
