Job summary

Delaware Department of Education is seeking a Field Agent, Nutrition Programs to conduct statewide reviews and monitor Child Nutrition Programs, including the Child and Adult Care Food Program, with cross-training across School Nutrition and Summer Food Service Programs.

The role reports to the Director, Nutrition Programs and requires strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nutrition, education, food service, administration, or related health field required.
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience working with school and community groups in nutrition or health.
• Experience with program or financial monitoring, auditing, coordination, or oversight
• Experience with researching and enforcing regulations.

Responsibilities

Major Responsibilities:

The Field Agent, Nutrition Programs position is responsible forconducting statewide compliance reviews, procurement reviews and monitoring of Child Nutrition Programs; completion of technical assistance; and development and execution of training sessions.This position will focus on one Child Nutrition Program (Child and Adult Care Food Program), with cross training in all Child Nutrition Programs (School Nutrition Programs and Summer Food Service Program).

Education:

Salary:

Salary Range: $80,519.60 to $126,544.00 annually.The final salary will be determined based on the candidate's education and experience in accordance with the Department of Education's compensation policy. The position includes a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance, participation in the state retirement program, annual, sick, and personal leave, and supplemental benefits options.Direct deposit of payroll checks is a condition of state employment, and employees are paid on a lag pay schedule with the first payment made after approximately one month of employment.
