Job summary

Ccms- is seeking an experienced 1099 Residential or Commercial Field Adjuster in Greensboro, NC to join our claims team. The role involves performing field inspections, collecting statements, and analyzing coverage to prepare detailed reports for clients.

The position requires at least 1 year of first-party property adjusting experience, strong communication skills, and proficiency with Xactimate. You will operate as an independent contractor with flexible scheduling and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year first-party commercial and/or residential property adjusting experience.
• Experience preparing loss-related documentation (Statement of Loss, Proof of Loss).
• Proficient with estimating software and claims reporting.

Responsibilities

• Complete residential and commercial field property inspections utilizing Xactimate.
• Investigate claims by interviewing insureds, claimants, witnesses and officials; inspect damages.
• Recommend claim reserves based on investigations and reserve reports.
• Obtain and interpret official reports for coverage assessment.
• Review coverage forms and endorsements and provide well-documented initial client reports.
• Maintain quality by following established best practices.

We are answering a call to action to expand our roster - join us as a 1099 Residential or Commercial Field Adjuster!

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year first-party commercial and/or residential property adjusting experience
• Maintain own current estimating software - Xactimate preferred (Cotality a plus)
• Working computer with internet access and Microsoft Word
• Strong time management and customer service skills
• Experience in preparing Statement of Loss, Proof of Loss, and denial letters

Responsibilities:

• Complete residential and commercial field property inspections utilizing Xactimate software
• Investigate claims by obtaining recorded statements from insureds, claimants, or witnesses and by interviewing fire, police, or other governmental officials as well as inspecting claimed damages
• Recommend claim reserves based on investigation, through well-supported reserve report
• Obtain and interpret official reports
• Review applicable coverage forms and endorsements, provide a thorough analysis of coverage and any coverage issues in a well-documented initial captioned report to the client
• Maintain acceptable product quality through compliance with established best practices

Knowledge and Skills:

• In-depth knowledge of property and liability insurance coverage and industry standards
• Ability to prepare full-captioned reports by collecting and summarizing required information
• Strong verbal and written communications skills
• Prompt, reliable, friendly, and professional

Preferred but Not Required:

• AIC, IICRC, HAAG or other professional designations
