Job summary

Basis North America Inc. is seeking a Field Technician – Acoustic and Thermographic Inspections to support the BNA Guardian Asset Health & Reliability program.

The role involves on-site predictive inspections using the FOTRIC H6 camera to identify anomalies in rotating, static, and electrical equipment, with training to expand into infrared thermography and IoT vibration monitoring. Qualifications

• Technical diploma or degree in mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, industrial maintenance, or related field.
• Ability to read P&IDs, technical drawings, and equipment documentation.
• Proficiency in reporting formats and technical documentation.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites, including short-notice assignments.
• Ability to work independently at customer facilities and follow procedures.

Responsibilities

• Conduct acoustic inspections at industrial facilities using the FOTRIC H6 acoustic camera.
• Perform infrared thermography inspections after training.
• Inspect rotating and static equipment, electrical panels, and related assets.
• Follow inspection plans, checklists, and technical parameters for each assignment.
• Record and classify anomalies, measurements, and observations in Field Data Sheets.
