Job summary

Parker Boats (Offshore) in Beaufort, NC is seeking a Laminator to perform lamination for our fiberglass boat components using open mold and closed mold methods. The successful candidate will follow instructions, work to deadlines, and contribute to building premium offshore and inshore fishing boats.

This role requires fiberglass/ resin handling, tool usage, and the ability to work in a team in a non-climate-controlled environment, with physical demanding tasks such as lifting and standing for

Qualifications

• One or more year(s) experience rolling fiberglass or applying resin.
• Ability to use hand and pneumatic (air-powered) tools.
• Must be able to perform tasks under time pressure deadline.
• Must have strong attention to detail.
• Able to understand and follow verbal and written directions, which are given in English.
• Must be able to work well with teams and in close proximity to each other.
• Skills in fiberglass and resin are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Measure and cut various fiberglass materials.
• Gun Runner 1-2 years experience.
• Measure and mix correct catalyst ratios of resins.
• Use various hand tools to apply and roll out wet fiberglass materials properly with air voids.
• Install hardware and plates in proper locations when required.
• Properly use mill gauges while laminating.
• Apply materials by hand for infusion process.
• Keep work area clean and orderly.
• Follow all application guidelines and instructions for quality control.
• Any other duties as assigned by management.
