Next Level Connect is launching a Fiber Technician Apprenticeship Program in Columbus, Ohio, designed for transitioning service members and veterans. The program blends hands-on field work with structured training and industry certifications to prepare you for a career in fiber optics.

Qualifications

  • Motivated individuals, preferably veterans or transitioning military members, seeking a career in telecommunications.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in technology.
  • Willingness to learn, work safely, and develop expertise in fiber optics.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work full-time with primarily weekday hours; travel to job sites may be required.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Willingness to travel to different job sites as needed.
  • Valid driver’s license and proactive attitude toward career development.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in field operations and hands-on fiber optic installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
