Job summary

Kanaan Communications, LLC is seeking a Fiber Splicer II to join our field operations in Westerville, OH. This role supports the company’s telecommunications network through high-quality fusion splicing, testing, and maintenance work on aerial and underground fibers.

The candidate will work in a safety-conscious environment, perform routine maintenance, and document daily activities. A minimum of two years specialized experience and a DOT-physical-ready status are required.

Qualifications

• Two years of fiber splicing experience required.
• Knowledge of telecommunications network structure.
• Able to pass a DOT medical exam and maintain a valid medical card.

Responsibilities

• Perform cable upgrades and splicing tasks, both aerial and underground.
• Test, activate, and troubleshoot the network post-installation.
• Ensure splicing operations meet customer and industry standards.
• Upgrade fiber sheaths and mid-sheath fibers as needed.
• Provide guidance to other splicers when necessary.
• Complete basic daily maintenance of vehicles and equipment.
• Document work in daily production reports and maps.
