Qualifications

• Authorization to work in the United States is required.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Valid State driver's license with an acceptable driving record is necessary.
• Must pass a DOT physical exam and obtain a valid medical card.
• 6 months of splicing experience or one year of telecommunications industry experience is required.

Responsibilities

Job description

At Communications Construction Group, LLC, we are seeking a Fiber Splicer to fuse optical fibers and maintain our telecommunication networks. Your splicing work ensures strong, reliable connections, supporting our growing network.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform cable upgrades and splicing tasks, both aerial and underground.
• Test, activate, and troubleshoot network circuits post-installation.
• Ensure all splicing operations meet strict customer and industry standards.
• Navigate safely at different heights, from underground to in the air.
• Complete basic daily maintenance of vehicles, including fluid checks.
• Document work performed through daily production reports, including map updates and material usage records.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• Authorization to work in the United States.
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience.
• Valid State driver's license (non-provisional) with an acceptable driving record.
• Must pass a DOT physical exam and obtain a valid medical card.
• 6 months of splicing experience or one year of telecommunications industry experience.

Additional Qualifications

• Certified pole climber or demonstrable proficiency as a pole climber is preferred.
• Knowledge of telecommunications network structure.

Physical Abilities & Exposures

• Routinely work at heights, occasionally enter attics and crawl spaces, and work alone in remote locations; operate vehicles and heavy machinery; handle fine hand motions, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs, and lift up to 55 pounds without assistance.
• Occasionally work in confined spaces, use ladders and gaffs for climbing poles, and use a keyboard and mouse.

Salary

The wage range for Fiber Splicer - Hanover is $22.00 - $40.00 per hour.
