Job summary

Dycom Industries, Inc. is seeking a Fiber Splicer to complete the fusion of optical fibers and maintain our telecommunications networks. You will perform splicing both aerially and underground, test and troubleshoot post-installation circuits, and ensure operations meet industry standards.

Qualifications

  • 6 months of splicing experience or 1 year in telecommunications.
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Valid state driver’s license with clean driving record.
  • Must pass DOT physical exam and obtain a medical card.
  • Authorization to work in the United States for this company.

Responsibilities

  • With guidance, perform cable upgrades and splicing tasks, both aerial and underground.
  • Test, activate, and troubleshoot the network’s circuit post-installation.
  • Ensure all splicing operations meet customer and industry standards.
  • Safely navigate working at different heights, from underground to in the air.
  • Complete basic daily maintenance of vehicles, including fluid checks.
  • Document work performed through daily production reports and map updates.
