Job summary

Jupiter Bach in Colorado Springs, CO is seeking a Fiber Repair Technician responsible for inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining fiber optic products to ensure quality and on-time production support. You will work closely with production teams to identify issues, perform repairs such as termination, splicing, polishing, and document activities and improvements.

Requirements include HS Diploma or GED and 4+ years’ fiber optic repair experience; proficiency with Microsoft Office;

Qualifications

• 4+ years’ experience with fiber optic repair, assembly, or troubleshooting.
• Must be fluent with Microsoft applications.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on fiber optic assemblies
• Inspect fiber products for defects and determine repair actions
• Perform fiber termination, splicing, polishing, cleaning, and rework as required
• Read and interpret work instructions, drawings, specifications, and quality requirements
• Use precision tools and test equipment to verify repairs meet standards
• Document repair activities, defects, and process improvements
• Support root cause investigations and corrective actions
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment following 5S and safety standards
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to reduce downtime and improve first-pass quality

Position Summary

The Fiber Repair Technician is responsible for inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining fiber optic products and equipment to ensure quality, reliability, and on-time production support. This role works closely with production teams to identify issues, perform repairs, and improve overall process performance.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on fiber optic assemblies and components.
• Inspect fiber products for defects and determine appropriate repair actions.
• Perform fiber termination, splicing, polishing, cleaning, and rework as required.
• Read and interpret work instructions, drawings, specifications, and quality requirements.
• Use precision tools and test equipment to verify repairs meet standards.
• Document repair activities, defects, and process improvements.
• Support root cause investigations and corrective actions.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment following 5S and safety standards.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to reduce downtime and improve first-pass quality
• Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience Required

• HS Diploma or GED Equivalent from an accredited institution
• 4+ years’ experience with fiber optic repair, assembly, or troubleshooting
• Must be fluent with Microsoft applications

Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills

• Ability to troubleshoot and work independently
• Knowledge of manufacturing practices and methods Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Experience conducting root cause analysis and contributing to failure analysis reports.
• Strong organizational skills & Mathematical skills
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Knowledgeable in JUPITER BACH/OSHA Safety Requirements
