Job summary

i3 Broadband is seeking a Utility Locating Technician in Peoria, IL to protect fiber-optic utilities from damage during digging projects. You will locate cables and conduits, often in easements, and mark locations for crews and contractors.

The role requires basic computer use, a clean driving record, and the ability to work outdoors in various weather. Training is available; overtime and some nights/weekends may be required.

Qualifications

• No formal education is required, but a willingness to learn and hands-on aptitude are preferred.
• Clean driving record and the ability to pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Safely locate all underground i3 Broadband fiber-optic utilities.
• Identify, locate, and accurately mark utility locations.
• Document work on internal i3 Broadband work tickets.
