Responsibilities

• Installation of fiber splice enclosures
• Onsite plant fiber optic cable slicing, to include both loose tube fiber and ribbon fiber
• Fusion Splicing
• Unidirectional and bidirectional fiber testing
• Light Level Testing, OLTS
• Fiber troubleshooting and repair, test report generation.
• Coordinate daily crew activities and work schedule
• Maintaining a safe and quality work site and location
• Maintain Fiber equipment and tools
• Daily inspection of all equipment assigned to crew
• Maintain daily production rates; ensure work is conducted in a safe manner and according to company safety and OSHA practices
