Job summary

Team Fishel in Cincinnati, Ohio is seeking skilled Splicing Technicians to join our Low Voltage Technologies Solutions division. You will support Crew Leaders by safely delivering high-quality splicing work, maintaining schedules and ensuring customer specifications are met.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Minimum of two years in telecommunications or related technical field.
Experience with fusion splicing and optical testing equipment.
Knowledge to distinguish Multi-mode and Single-mode fibers.
Must have driving record and ability to operate company vehicle.

Responsibilities

Splice fiber optic cable of various types and sizes.
Analyze and troubleshoot basic technical problems.
Review maps, drawings, blueprints and testing documents.
Perform daily tests, checks and maintenance of splicing and testing equipment.
Perform optical continuity and conformance testing.
Make splicing rearrangements on facilities in buried, underground, aerial and building locations.
