V&J is seeking a Fiber Optic Splicer to join a two-person crew responsible for installation, splicing, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of fiber optic cable in indoor and outdoor settings.
The role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication with project managers and fiber engineers. On-call rotation and occasional travel may be required.
The Fiber Optic Splicer will be part of a two-person splice crew responsible for installing, splicing, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing fiber optic cable in both indoor and outdoor environments. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication with project managers and fiber engineers.
The normal work schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Employees are expected to be available to respond to emergency service calls outside of normal business hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed. Participation in the on-call rotation is a requirement of this position.
Some day travel may be required to assist with projects in other markets. Overnight travel is rare, and crews are typically home each day.
