Job summary

Direct Communications is seeking a skilled directional drill Operator or Locator in Louisiana, based in Livonia and Maringouin area. This full-time position involves directional drilling, fiber installation, and heavy equipment operation with potential overtime.

You'll mobilize a drill, locate underground paths, lay conduit, pull fiber, splice, and perform maintenance while upholding safety and quality standards. CDL is preferred; travel may be required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Drilling rig experience required.
• Experience operating Vermeer or Ditch Witch rigs, and other heavy equipment.
• Truck driving with CDL preferred.
• Willingness to travel to various locations; pass drug screen.
• Ability to read construction plans and blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Operate directional drills and locate underground paths accurately.
• Operate heavy equipment including mini excavator, skid steer.
• Install and maintain fiber facilities; pull and terminate cables.
• Perform fiber splicing and connect terminations.
• Tow equipment safely and ensure site safety.
