The role involves assembling and troubleshooting fiber optic cable assemblies using various tools, ensuring high-quality standards, and being able to work with minimal supervision. A high school diploma or GED is required, and candidates with a technical degree and experience in a manufacturing environment are preferred. Qualifications

• Two year technical degree preferred.
• Recent experience in a mechanical, electrical, or production trade is needed.
• Working knowledge of MS Office programs including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Assemble electrical and fiber optic cable assemblies.
• Troubleshoot issues with minimal engineering support.
• Accurately report labor hours for each order.
• Adhere to all safety procedures.

Skills

Ability to work safely with minimal or no direct supervision

Excellent communication skills

Ability to read technical drawings and electrical schematics

Good shop math skills

Ability to use mechanical and pneumatic tools

Ability to learn rapidly in a production facility

Ability to work from verbal directions

Common sense approach to troubleshooting
