Job summary

CS Contract Solutions seeks a Fiber I&R Technician/Field Technician to install and service fiber optic internet for residential and commercial customers in Gatesville or San Marcos, TX. The role is full-time and requires flexibility with locations as needed by clients.

Qualifications

• Fiber optic internet and home phone service experience preferred. Paid training offered.
• Must have own truck, van, or SUV with a ladder rack.
• Must have own tools to perform the job.
• Must pass background check, MVR screen, and drug test.
• Must be accountable and dependable.
• Lift up to 80lbs unassisted.
• Overtime and weekend work may be required.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair fiber optic systems for residential and commercial customers.
• Ensure adequate performance of internet, phone, and TV services where applicable.
• Complete pre-install work orders and post-install verifications.
• Place aerial or buried fiber drops and install interior/exterior wiring.
• Follow safety rules and OSHA regulations.
• Work at heights using ladders.
• Work in confined spaces.
• Assist other technicians as needed.
• Represent the company professionally to customers.
• Adapt to new processes and information regularly.
• Use internal systems for work orders and timekeeping.
• Maintain customer appointment schedules.
• Meet minimum metrics for Repeats, Productivity, and Completions.

The Fiber I&R Technician/Field Technician position is in Gatesville or San Marcos, TX and is full-time. The primary function is to install fiber optic internet services, providing world class quality, and product education for residential and commercial customers. As a field technician you must be flexible with work locations, as client deems necessary.

Role and Responsibilities for Fiber I&R Technician/Field Technician

• Installation, maintenance, and repairing of fiber optic systems for residential and commercial customers.
• Ensuring adequate performance of internet, phone and if applicable, television services
• Complete pre-install work order and post-install service verification and customer education to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Place aerial or buried fiber optic drops and install interior and exterior wiring.
• Observe all safety rules and OSHA regulations.
• Work at heights by using/setting up various types of ladders.
• Work in confined spaces.
• Teamwork - Assist other technicians in the performance of their duties when requested.
• Must convey a positive and professional appearance and demeanor when communicating the company’s products and services to our customers.
• Have an ability to adapt to new processes and new information frequently.
• Use internal systems for work order notation and time keeping.
• Keep customer appointments.
• Maintain minimum acceptable metrics with Repeats, Productivity, and Completions.

Qualifications and Educational Requirements for Fiber I&R Technician/Field Technician

• Fiber optic internet and home phone service experience preferred. We do offer paid training.
• Must satisfy company required tools and safety equipment checklist.
• Must have own truck, van, or SUV with a ladder rack.
• Must have own tools to perform the job.
• Smartphone and Laptop are required.
• Must have Microsoft Excel.
• Lift up to 80lbs unassisted.
• Effective communication skills and ability to multi-task.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and teamwork.
• Must pass background check, MVR screen, and drug test.
• Must be accountable and dependable.
• Must have the ability to work overtime and on weekends depending on the needs of the customer.

Compensation

The pay is production based. Rates will be provided upon resume submission. Paid training available.
