Race Telecommunications, Inc. is seeking a Fiber Designer 1 to plan and design fiber optic networks remotely from California. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, gather project requirements, and create detailed layouts using CAD, Vetro, and Google Earth.
Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s degree in a related field, proven fiber network design experience, and strong CAD skills. We offer a 100% company-paid benefits package, remote work, and competitive hourly compensation of $27–$30.
Location:Remote:California
Location Status: Work will be primarily performed remotely from home office. Occasional travel to and work from other Race offices or off-site locations may be required.
This position is open only to candidates who are currently residing and authorized to work in the United States. Due to team collaboration and business needs, applicants must be located in U.S. time zones that align with or are close to Pacific Time (Pacific or Mountain Time preferred).

The Fiber Designer 1 plays a key role in the planning and design of fiber optic networks, ensuring the efficient and effective deployment of telecommunications infrastructure contributing to the planning and design of fiber optic networks. Your role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather project requirements, utilizing computer-aided design (CAD) software for detailed layouts. Keeping abreast of industry standards, you will ensure compliance in fiber network design, providing essential support to construction and installation teams during project implementation.
