Job summary

Google Inc. is seeking a Special Projects Manager, Technical Operations to lead the deployment and maintenance of a fiber-optic network for residential and business customers across the Central Region.

This role involves collaborating with city management, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely and high-quality network delivery. Ideal candidates will have 7+ years in network deployment and leadership experience, with a strong skill set in project management, budgeting, and quality assurance.

The compensation includes a salary range of $136,000 – $149,600 plus bonus and benefits.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of fiber network deployment experience (outside and inside plant).
• 7+ years of leadership experience managing teams and vendors.
• Preferred: MBA or Master’s degree.

Responsibilities

• Lead the deployment, operation, installations, and maintenance of a fiber‑optic network.
• Support deployment and operation of GFiber's FTTH build.
• Coordinate with city officials and utility representatives to meet business targets.
