Job summary

Fiber Network Services, Inc. is seeking a Broadband Coax Splicer for its Roanoke, VA team to splice and troubleshoot coax networks on new and ongoing projects.

Responsibilities include balancing and activating signal paths, optimizing nodes, and documenting daily work with digital tools. A high school diploma and field experience are preferred, with safety training and DOT requirements potentially needed.

Qualifications

• Must have good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to read and understand technical instructions.
• Must be able to operate safely in diverse weather and outdoor conditions.
• DOT physical and drug test clearance may be required.

Responsibilities

• Splice, balance, activate and troubleshoot forward and reverse signal paths for coax construction and BAU projects (typical coax sizes .625 and .875).
• Optimize nodes and be familiar with harmonic nodes.
• Track and report daily work via digital methods (Email, Excel).
