Job summary

GTS is seeking a Fiber and Cable Installation Technician in Cocoa Beach, FL to perform residential and small commercial installs, upgrades, disconnects, and service testing. This is a 1099 contractor role requiring physical work outdoors and travel to local sites.

No prior industry experience is required; candidates should be reliable, able to follow safety guidelines, and capable of handling basic IP networking concepts and common home networking devices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Able to pass required drug and background screening.
• Insured and bonded; requirements provided.
• Owned vehicle and required equipment.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, or disconnect cable and fiber systems in homes (indoor/outdoor).
• Test connections and fix service issues when needed.
• Perform routine maintenance and respond to outages.
• Keep simple records of work completed and equipment used.
• Provide friendly, professional support during customer visits.
• Follow all safety guidelines while working on ladders, poles, and roofs.
• Travel locally each day to different service locations.
• Other duties as assigned.
